Frequently Asked Questions
What is IV Therapy?
IV therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, electrolytes, and medications directly into your bloodstream through an IV placed into your vein. This allows for rapid hydration and best absorption of essential nutrients. It’s a fast, effective way to boost energy, support recovery, and help you feel your best.
Is IV Therapy Safe?
Yes, all IV drips are generally well-tolerated by adults. Before treatment, a doctor reviews your medical history, medications, and allergies. All IV bags come pre-mixed from Olympia Pharmacy, a federally compliant pharmacy, so there’s no need to worry about mixing errors or ingredient complications on our end. Olympia’s IV treatments are widely used and well-tolerated in the general population and in IV clinics across the country.
Treatments are always administered by an experienced licensed Registered Nurse, and while allergic reactions are very rare, you’ll be monitored closely to ensure your experience is safe and comfortable. These treatments are primarily vitamins (just as one would take orally) and hydration with a few low-risk medications, making them safe and well-tolerated for most individuals.
For healthy individuals without significant heart or kidney conditions, the risk of electrolyte imbalance or vitamin “toxicity” from a standard infusion is rare. Most ingredients are water-soluble vitamins that your body absorbs and excretes naturally.
Is IV therapy safe without drawing labs before starting treatments?
If you’re concerned about safety without drawing labs first, know that IV therapy is designed with this in mind. The drips contain fluids, vitamins, amino acids, and low-risk minerals that your body already uses and regulates naturally. Potassium, a high-risk electrolyte, is avoided because that would require lab monitoring.
Every client completes a medical history screening and a good faith exam before treatment, ensuring safety and appropriateness. All IV kits are prepared by a federally compliant pharmacy at safe, standardized doses, and treatments are administered by a licensed RN under physician oversight. Compared to everyday stressors like alcohol, processed food, and caffeine, a controlled and professionally administered IV treatment is a safe and proactive way to support hydration, recovery, and overall wellness.

What is NAD+ Therapy?
NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a enzyme found in every cell of the body, playing a key role in energy production, DNA repair, and healthy aging. As we age, NAD+ levels decline, contributing to fatigue, brain fog, and slower recovery.
NAD+ IV therapy delivers this essential molecule directly into the bloodstream for maximum absorption and effectiveness, helping you feel revitalized from the inside out.
Think of NAD+ as the fuel line between your mitochondria (the cell's powerhouses) and your body’s ability to perform at its best mentally, physically, and metabolically.
NAD+ is crucial for cellular energy production (helps turn food into fuel), DNA repair, neurotransmitter function, and healthy aging.
NAD+ can be a great option heading into a busy week where you have to perform, a busy weekend with travel or work meetings, improved sleep, anytime you need an extra boost mentally and physically. NAD+ also helps break down alcohol, so it can be a beneficial option to help you stay more composed when drinking alcohol.
What if you cannot start my IV?
I’m a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in hospital patient care, infusion nursing, and IV placement. My goal is always to start your IV on the first attempt, but if it’s challenging, I’ll use my professional skills and techniques to try another vein. If I’m unable to start the IV safely after a few attempts, you won’t be charged for the treatment, but that is rare.
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance. All IV treatments are transacted with cash or card payment. We try to make our services affordable for you given the convenience of service.
How long do IV drips typically take?
Most IV drips take about an hour so you can get back to your day recharged quickly! However, NAD+ infusions may take longer (250mg 2 hours) and (500mg up to 3-4 hours) based on how you tolerate the medication.
Who should NOT receive IV therapy?
While IV therapy is generally safe, it may not be appropriate for everyone. People with certain medical conditions such as kidney disease, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, stroke, irregular heartbeat, liver disease, bleeding or clotting disorders, active infection, pregnant, chemotherapy or severe electrolyte imbalances should avoid IV therapy or consult with a healthcare provider first. Medication interactions are also strongly considered. We conduct a thorough medical screening before every treatment to ensure your safety and reduce the risk of complications.
